Vestry met in Serson Hall with a call to order at 6:30 p.m. There was a quorum. Fr Tom read the Collect for the feast day of St Patrick.

Members Present: Fr. Tom Thoeni, Rector; Diane Augustas, Sr. Warden; Julio Albino, Jr. Warden; Tom Connolly, Mary Lou Dogoloff, Rose Porembo, Jeannie Smith, and Murray Smith. Jack LaRose and Paul Nelson were absent.

Approval of Minutes: The minutes from February 19, 2025 did not have a vote for approval.
Adoption of Goals for 2025: The first five goals listed in the meeting agenda named St Paul’s 2025 Vestry Goals were called by a motion to be adopted. Mary Lou D made the motion and Diane A seconded. The vote passed by acclamation. Also on the agenda were Rector Goals 2025. A motion was called by Rose P and seconded by Mary Lou D to adopt the first three Rector Goals and the vote passed by acclamation.

Executive Committee: A team of leaders with Fr Tom will prioritize topics for the agenda in advance of the vestry meetings. The committee includes the wardens, the treasurer and a support person who will assist in preparing notes on current topics.

Appoint Clerk: Fr Tom asked for a motion to appoint Charlene Connolly as clerk. Julio A made the motion and Mary Lou D seconded. Everyone voted in favor of this motion.

Land Development Project: On February 27, 2025 St Paul’s land development committee met with Lang Lowrey, Austin Lowrey, Mike Booher, and architect Steve Hruby. Diane A reported that the architect will be moving forward with affordable housing discussions with Collier County.

Hearing Loop Project: Tom C was happy to report that he will be completing final connections this week.

Convention delegates October 10 & 11, 2025: Three delegates and one alternate from St Paul’s will attend a convocation meeting in September and the Diocese Convention October 10 & 11, 2025. Fr Tom chose Diane Augustas, Jeannie Smith, Julio Albino and alternate Jack LaRose. Convention is held annually in Punta Gorda, FL. A motion was called by Mary Lou D and seconded by Rose P to include the vestry members named above to attend this year’s convention. The motion passed by acclamation.

Treasurer’s Report: Rose P gave the treasurer’s report. 

April Vestry Meeting date change: May 5th will be the next meeting due to Easter activities and vacations.

Fr Tom closed the meeting with a prayer at 7:30 p.m.

The next vestry meeting will be May 5, 2025
